Happy Thanksgiving!! Strongman Style!

Thanksgiving morning my training partner and I hit a volume Box Squat Session before teaching class. After class a couple of us decided to hit a Strongman style workout. Here's me on round three. As you can see I'm already pretty fatigued from the previous work. This one was brutal!!

3 Rounds, each round for time. Rest as needed between rounds.
Trap Bar Deadlift @80% of DL 1RM
Bench Press-20 @bodyweight
Yoke Carry-100ft @AHAP
Keg Carry-100ft
Sandbag Carry-100ft
(Then, lay on the floor and roll around..lol)

Knife and Axe Throwing

Been throwing steel for over 5 years. Working here on keeping a tight pattern. Throwing axes after the knives is tough because the handles of the axe can hit the knife causing a miss. Here I actually hit axe on axe!

Dips and Deads 11-15-19

Friday Training: AM Session:

5 Sets of:
Weighted Dips-15-18 Reps @25-23#
Sumo Deadlifts w/Straps-6@75%

PM Session:
6 Sets of:
Kettlebell Single Leg Deadlifts 8L/8R @88# Each KB

Bodyweight Dips are easy for me so i spiced it up by adding weight. I used straps on the Deadlifts to not burn out my grip. Planing on Farmers Walk and Stones later in the week, that will work my grip enough. Single Legs were a bonus for extra glute and hamstring work.
